The perks of being a wallflower ♥♥♥♥

I really enjoyed this book by author Stephen Chbosky. The story of this book kept me interested and not wanting to stop reading. The characters are really nice and I really liked the main character too. It's mostly about a boy who enters high school, goes through different things a normal high schooler may experience, drama, new friends, sex, drugs. Many might be able to relate to this too, maybe not exactly but close. Also this book has a slightly similarity to "The Catcher in the Rye" for those who liked that book, I am sure you'll like this one. This one comes in letters that the main character, Charlie, writes. They are unique, hilarious and some devastating. It really is a must read :)

Death On the Nile ♥♥♥♥

Here we have, I am sure you heard of her, a Book by Agatha Christie called Death on the Nile. I finished this book yesterday and let me tell you it got me really excited reading this especially since it is a Mystery Book. Who doesn't love that? Well I do because when I read a mystery book I always try to pretend I am the detective and analyze all I read about the characters to see who may have committed the crime. It is very fun and her mystery books are highly recommended! I love them and this one was really great. Interesting characters and most of them were all linked to Linnet Doyle who was the one who died while on a trip on the Nile with her husband. They had just married. She was very beautiful, elegant and very rich too. They were people who envied her, others who wanted to marry her but she did not, and so on. So trying to find out who the killer may have been can be tough but exciting for the reader. I had so many ideas and thoughts of who it could have been and well towards the end you start changing your mind and thinking of a new logical explanation to the crime. You'll find yourself surprised finding out who it was because it is often someone you least expect it.

The Housekeeper and the Professor ♥♥♥♥♥

This book was amazing in so many ways. A beautiful written japanese story by Yoko Ogawa. I enjoyed it so much. The characters were remarkable. This book tells you how life is connected with math/ numbers. The professor is a mathematician who always talk about numbers and the meaning of them. The Housekeeper was always amazed and admired of how a number can change your views on the whole subject of math. The professor is a man who has lost his memory and it only lasts 80 minutes. He writes notes and clips them on his suit to remember certain events and important dates. He, the housekeeper and her son, Root, who the professor gave the nickname to, get along very well together and create a strong bonding relationship and are there for one another. Truly touching story and doesn't matter if you don't like math, after reading this book, you will find math being a subject full of mystery and wonder and surprises.

To Kill A MockingBird ♥♥♥♥♥

This book has become one of my favorites in my list. :) It is a remarkable book with a good story. The main character is a girl named Scout probably 6-8 years old and her brother Jem. They have a really good brother and sister relationship and together go through their adventures and stories and always trying to take peek on who Boo Radley could be. Besides that they live in the time during the 1960's in a small town in Alabama where explosion of racial hate occurs and how Scout looks at his father being a lawyer defending a black man who has been accused of raping a young white woman. It's a great classical literature to read that will touch you and make you feel good after finishing. Great characters, story, setting and you can get a feel of life in the southern states during the 60s. I truly recommend for those who haven't read this book! :)

I gave it 5 out of 5 hearts.

The Catcher in the Rye ♥♥♥

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger is a book I read recently about 2 weeks ago. I had heard about the books from people before but never had the chance to read it until recently. I found the introduction interesting, the characters and the story. The main character though seemed to be going through some problems of his own and the more I read the more I laughed once in awhile when reading how he would say he didn't like this or he didn't like that. Seemed like every little thing would bother him and how it would kill him. He wasn't a very good student either for he was expelled from school and was afraid of how disappointed his parents were going to be. He didn't go home directly after he got expelled but instead spend some time in New York city where he would call up some friends and want to hang out and do things. But other than that this book is a must read and I don't understand why this book had been banned from the reading lists for students. I think it is a good book to learn about how life can be without having a good education and gives you an aspect of how its like. Thinking you to cool for school is nonsense. So if you're looking for a "classic" this book is the one for you!

So I give it 3 hearts as it says in the title.

Wonderful wonders

Yes books are wonderful! Full of knowledge, imagination, experience, words, characters and much more unimaginable that when you read a book it somehow keeps you locked in on the story. It doesn't let you go or maybe it is you who doesn't want to let it go. haha. Books are just something good to have in your life. Keeps you entertained, it can become a good hobby and it is a good way to learn and experience many things whether it is fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, mystery it doesn't matter because at the end you will get a whole lot knowledge of what you read in your head :)

Moving on, I came up with an idea of making a book blog since this summer I decided to read as much as I can. I will be sharing with you the books I am reading lately and probably a brief review and opinion of mines about it and recommendations. You can join along and recommend a book for me to read as well! I would be very happy if you do. =] Hopefully this blog begins with a good start.

Yay for Bookworms! ^_^
